Stakeholder meeting convened in Gangtok, chaired by Secretary UD&HD-cum-State Mission Director of Smart City Mission, Ms. Sarala Rai. The meeting also had the presence of Director General of Police, Mr. A.S. Rao, IPS, Chief Executive Officer, GSCDL, Mr. Tarzan Subba, SP/East, SP/Traffic, HoDs and representatives of various line departments including Power, DESME, PHE, Health, Roads & Bridges, Education, Information Technology, NIC, GMC and other stakeholders. All the ongoing projects under Gangtok Smart City Project were briefed up in the event.
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, laid the foundation stone of Integrated Command and Control Centres at Gangtok among five North Eastern Smart Cities, through video conference from New Delhi.
